In-process metrology

- Definitine basic concepts related to in-process metrology. Point out objectives of in-process metrology application and related economic benefits.

- Describe types of in-process control: in-process metrology, in-situ metrology, in-line metrology. Point out characteristics of each type of control.

- Apply principles of replacing conventional methods of metrological control with methods of in-process control.

- Describe functioning of speed, acceleration, force and stress sensors.

- Point out position and displacement measuring systems (linear and rotational).

- Use sensors implementing the sense of touch and the sense of sight.

- Describe methods of on-line correction of the accuracy of machines and technological devices, correction of geometric errors of linear and rotary axes.
